Curriculum Committee

The Curriculum Committee is a statutory academic body of the College of Nursing responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating all curriculum-related activities in accordance with the guidelines of the Indian Nursing Council (INC), Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik, and other applicable regulatory authorities. The Committee ensures that the curriculum is effectively delivered through learner-centered, competency-based, and outcome-oriented educational practices that meet national healthcare priorities and global standards. It promotes interdisciplinary learning, integrates innovative teaching-learning methodologies, strengthens clinical and community-based education, and continuously reviews curriculum implementation through stakeholder feedback to enhance the quality of nursing education.

Objectives

  • Ensure effective implementation of the curriculum in accordance with INC, MUHS, and other regulatory guidelines.

  • Plan and monitor curriculum delivery through structured academic planning.

  • Promote competency-based, learner-centered, and outcome-oriented education.

  • Integrate theory, clinical, simulation, and community-based learning experiences.

  • Encourage innovative teaching-learning methods and curriculum enrichment activities.

  • Monitor student academic progress and attainment of programme outcomes and graduate attributes.

  • Facilitate continuous assessment and evaluation as per university norms.

  • Collect and utilize stakeholder feedback for continuous curriculum improvement.

  • Promote academic collaboration and professional development.

  • Maintain curriculum-related records and ensure compliance with accreditation and quality assurance requirements.

Functions

  • Prepare and implement the Academic Calendar.

  • Develop and monitor the Master Plan, Course Plans, and Unit Plans.

  • Coordinate effective curriculum delivery through theory, practical, clinical, simulation, and community-based learning.

  • Monitor teaching schedules, attendance, syllabus completion, and academic progress.

  • Organize and review formative assessments and internal examinations.

  • Promote curriculum enrichment through value-added courses, workshops, seminars, conferences, and guest lectures.

  • Facilitate interdisciplinary learning and collaboration with healthcare institutions.

  • Review student performance and recommend remedial and enrichment measures.

  • Collect, analyze, and utilize stakeholder feedback for continuous curriculum improvement.

  • Conduct periodic curriculum reviews and academic quality audits.

  • Promote innovative teaching-learning practices and faculty development initiatives.

  • Maintain curriculum-related records, reports, and statutory compliance documentation.

Meetings

The Curriculum Committee shall meet three times during each academic year to review curriculum planning, implementation, teaching-learning activities, syllabus completion, student performance, stakeholder feedback, curriculum enrichment initiatives, and quality enhancement measures.
