Caring for children is the most satisfying aspect of a nurse. A competent pediatric nurse effectively and lovingly provides relief from pain and suffering. This department deals with the art and science of caring the Newborn and those up to the age of 18 years. It focuses towards the quality of Child Health Education and Training leading to quality education in learners and health outcomes in children. The Child Health nursing laboratory has an array of Models, Simulators, Charts, equipments and play materials. The design of the lab is based on Objective Structured Clinical Examination with skill stations specifically for anthropometric measurements, Basic procedures and Pediatric resuscitation. The students also have the dispensation of becoming familiar with the most sophisticated equipment and technology allied to client care, especially in our Pediatric Speciality OPD's, Under Five Clinic, Pediatric Wards (Medical & Surgical), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Care Unit and Crèche.
